With the opening of Chapter “HaTechelet” in the Daf Yomi cycle of Masechet Menachot, MDY is marking this special milestone with a unique and inspiring shiur.
Rabbi Eli Stefansky will deliver a special Daf Yomi shiur in honor of the beginning of the chapter – this time from a location that tangibly connects the sugya to real life: the Ptil Tekhelet factory in Kfar Adumim.
The shiur will explore the sugyot of tekhelet in Masechet Menachot, offering live demonstrations and an up-close look at the process of producing tekhelet strings – from the halachic sources to their practical implementation. Participants will gain a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the factory and experience a powerful connection between the pages of the Gemara and contemporary practice.
According to estimates, learners are expected to attend from across the country and from all MDY shared viewing locations. There is a strong sense of excitement within the community – not only about the shiur itself, but also about the opportunity to meet fellow Daf learners from around the country, connect face-to-face, and strengthen the shared sense of partnership in learning.
